BUCS Surf 2015

Oct 2015

Ever been to BUCS? It's wild. We've all seen those shots of the US Open in Huntington Beach. Well, imagine that, but in Newquay. Swap bikinis and boardies for wetsuits and you're almost there. BUCS Surf Championships is the annual student surf championships, held at Fistral Beach, where the UK's best students clash heads for BUCS points and bragging rights. It's a long weekend of surfing, partying and clowning around. But don't be mistaken, it's fiercely competetive - previous winners include UK Pro Gordon Fontaine, and the final normally has more stickered up boards than the ex-pro rack at Down the Line.

We showed up this year with a full rack of demo boards, a quiver 2016 boards and a wedge of AW stickers, representing Airwave, soaking up the atmosphere and joining in on the post-surf festivities. Huge thanks to all who swung by, congrats to Plymouth and Exeter for scooping the wins.
